What ChooseMe does
ChooseMe is a breakup recovery app that helps users manage no-contact streaks, SOS moments, journaling, reflection prompts, AI support, and personal recovery history.
Information we may collect
- Account details you choose to provide, such as email or profile basics
- App content you create, including journal entries, unsent letters, mood check-ins, red flags, streak data, and recovery preferences
- Subscription and purchase status provided through Apple’s in-app purchase systems
- Basic technical and service data needed to operate cloud features, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
How we use information
- To provide the app’s core features and keep your history available where syncing is enabled
- To personalize recovery plans, reminders, and in-app support
- To process support requests, restore purchases, and maintain service reliability
- To respond appropriately to safety-sensitive situations surfaced inside the app
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not provide third-party ad tracking inside the app
- We do not access your Contacts unless a future feature explicitly asks and you grant permission
Third-party services
ChooseMe may rely on secure infrastructure providers to store account-backed data and power optional AI support features. Apple handles in-app purchases and subscription billing. When those providers process data on our behalf, they do so to help deliver the app experience.
Data retention and deletion
You can request deletion of your synced account data by emailing dustinsparage@aol.com. We may retain limited records where necessary for legal, fraud-prevention, billing, or safety obligations.
Children
ChooseMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Crisis support notice
ChooseMe is not a substitute for therapy, crisis intervention, or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency in the United States, call or text 988. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency services or local crisis resources.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised policy here with an updated effective date.
